For You is Selena Gomez's first compilation and greatest hits album and her fifth album overall. Her first single from the album is called "The Heart Wants What It Wants", and the music video premiered on Selena's VEVO channel on November 6, 2014, quickly topping the iTunes chart later that same day. It was shot and recorded in 2013. This is going to be Selena's last album from Hollywood Records, having signed a new recording contract with Interscope Records.[1] The album was released on November 24, 2014.

In addition to previously released songs, the album features two new songs, "The Heart Wants What It Wants" and "Do It", as well as remixes of select tracks. This album is mostly covers of old songs.

  • Austin Mahone, a good friend of Selena's, said at the 2014 Grammys that Selena showed him some of her new music (presumably from this album). He commented, saying "it's awesome".
